These characters were all inspired by research of ancient Mayan musical instruments. I was really intrigued by all the strange instruments I had never seen before, and wanted each character to have a unique instrument and persona. The drummer is an eagle warrior who might perform at rituals and summon the gods, The flute player could live in a swampy part of the jungle and summon frogs like a pied piper, and the flute player may be a hypnotist.
